The background of arctic outdoor
Being outdoors has always been an important part of my life. Both my work and my free time have been about being in the nature. In the summer, I go kayaking, biking and hiking, and in the winter time I like skiing, snowshoeing and spending a few nights in a tent, watching the stars and the northern lights before going to sleep.
I have extensive experience guiding in Arctic environments, having spent ten winters working in Finnish Lapland for Lapland Safaris, one of the most renowned activity providers in Northern Europe. This is where I truly developed a love for the cold and snow, with winter nights filled with starry skies and dancing northern lights.
Guiding was my primary work for many years, traveling to destinations all over Europe as well as to Mauritius and Madagascar. During these years I became more aware of Swedish nature and its beauty, tranquility, and silence. My desire to spend more time in the nature and to share this experience with others inspired me to start my company, Experitur. The name Experitur means Experiences, and through organizing guided tours, I hope to share my own experiences while creating new ones for everyone who joins my adventures. Experitur has its base in Askersund, near Lake Vättern and the Tiveden area. Here we organize summer tours and activities. You can read more at Experitur website.
Arctic Outdoor is the passion project of Experitur, focusing on winter activities in northern Sweden. With a deep connection to Skellefteå since childhood, I wanted to spend more time in this wonderful city. Here, you’ll get a perfect blend of city life, rich culture and history, diverse activities, and countless opportunities for unforgettable nature experiences.
